Judging Others

“If you judge others you have no time to love them” -Mother Theresa

Dear Princess of God, your job on earth is to love as much as you can. When you have an judgmental outlook you are taking away from your ability to love the people or person you are looking at. Jesus calls you to be another Christ on earth, to love as He loved. Jesus is the only Judge for mankind and it takes humility to recognize that you are not qualified to judge anyone.

Furthermore, Jesus promises that if you do not judge, you yourself will not be judged.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Matthew 7:1-3

God means what He says dear Princess! How harshly or critically you judge other people, will be the measure God uses with you. Jesus goes on to say not to focus on the flaws of others but on your own instead.

In He & I, Jesus tells Gabrielle Bossis, “Who is pure? There are only sinners or those who have been purified. Woe to people who pride themselves on not yielding to a temptation that never bothered them.”

When you are tempted to judge others, instead start to pray for those people, and that act of love will be rewarded.
