Let Jesus Carry You in Your Brokenness

If you feel broken from any of life’s disappointments or hardships, let Jesus carry you. Dear Princess of God, you can be broken and still be a Princess. How you let Jesus carry you is you yield to Jesus. You give up doing your own will and going your own way, and you let Jesus take over.

Start immersing yourself in Him, in pure music (go through what you consume if it is not holy and discover the wonderful genre of worship music), in Scripture reading, in good Catholic reading such as the writings of the Saints, etc, and in fellowship or participation in church. Let others in the community help you, and reveal to them your brokenness, after you have gotten to know them. Jesus wants to heal you though others as well.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

When you are hurt, you need Jesus’ tender love and care, and that is when He wants to heal you as well. He has lessons for you in the brokenness, including humility, but if you come to Him for help and ask Him to carry you in His Heart or His arms, He will do so.

11He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. Isaiah 40:11

When you are broken, you are perhaps closest to Jesus, as He says He is closest to a suffering soul. Take advantage of your closeness.
