Jesus told His disciples:
You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose Me, but I chose you. John 15:14-15
A Princess of God is chosen by Jesus to be His friend. As Jesus’ friend, you obey what He tells you to do, following His commandments and living the law of love. You share in Jesus’ life and the goal of your life is to achieve a union with Jesus, in each of your daily actions and then ultimately in heaven where you will bask in friendship with Jesus forever.
Just as you would to a best friend, you invite Jesus into your inner life, you share all your joys, sufferings, heartbreaks, etc.
Just as you would share with your mother, you share with Jesus, in prayer, keeping in mind that no detail is too unimportant for Him and that He longs to hear all your heart has to tell Him. This is what it means to be good friends with Jesus. In turn, Jesus shares His secrets with His friends, as He says, a servant doesn’t understand what the master is doing, but Jesus makes known His secrets with you.
Of course, we never stop being servants of Christ when we become His friends, but Jesus wants more than the distance of a servant with His Princesses, He wants your heart and your friendship.
