Be a Simple Instrument in Jesus’ Hands

Many Saints have described themselves as only simple instruments in Jesus and God’s hands, because that is what we in reality are. It is important to stay humble and little, and then God can use you.

A Princess of God should strive to be such an instrument for Jesus to use as well. How much joy you should have in knowing that Jesus is using one as small or little as you to do great works!

St. Bernadette said “The Blessed Virgin used me like a broom. What do you do with a broom when you have finished sweeping? You put it back in its place, behind the door!”

Mother Theresa described herself as a “little pencil” in God’s hands, and look at what amazing work Jesus did through her.

Jesus and the Blessed Mother can do the same for you, if you will let them.

First though, you must work to become holy, very holy. As Archbishop Fulton Sheen said, “To save souls we must be holy: God does not use dirty tools.”

The holier and more pure you become, the more God can and will use you for His work.

To become holy, start by trekking the stairs of the spiritual life, which is explained in further detail here. Take courage, because Jesus can purify you, no matter what your situation:
