Keeping your Mind Beautiful

A Princess of God keeps her mind beautiful.

She does this by meditating on God’s Word, His Scriptures, which are life and beauty itself, and she does so by pleasant or pleasing conversation, avoiding all idle or degrading talk; she recalls and remembers all the wonderful things God has done for her and lives in a state of permanent gratitude and thanksgiving which brings her immense joy, and uplifts her mind to God!

She is careful also about what she puts into her mind, whether reading material, or videos and movies, or other sights and sounds in real life, and is careful to prudently choose what is good, noble, and uplifting only, shutting herself off to what is not.

Philippians 4:8 counsels: Finally brethern, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

She lifts her mind and her thoughts up along with the angels, but as all human beings must struggle in their thought life, the Princess of God must struggle a bit on her way to perfection as well!

She takes up the battle like a warrior, through constant humble prayer and supplication as well. She keeps good company that bolsters her efforts. And she acknowledges that God’s thoughts are much higher than her thoughts, and lets herself be emptied of herself and filled by God with the thoughts He wishes her to have.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
